Simple Surrogacy Review: What Surrogates Actually Say
Our take: the veteran of our four partners, surrogate-owned, and openly not the highest payer.
States served
About 70% of Simple Surrogacy's surrogates are in Texas, followed by Midwest and Central states. Beyond that, the agency says it works in every state where surrogacy is legal. That is a broad claim we cannot check state by state, so treat Texas and the Midwest as the confident answer.
Live somewhere else? Ask the agency which states and clinics they currently serve before you apply, or take the two-minute quiz and we will show you which partners cover your state.
State law still matters. A few states restrict or complicate compensated surrogacy. Read surrogacy laws by state and talk to a reproductive-law attorney before you apply.
Our verdict: who Simple Surrogacy is right for
Per the agency, all coordinators are former surrogates and the owner completed three surrogate pregnancies. It is all-female owned and has operated continuously since 2002, which makes it the longest-running agency in our partner set. We have not audited ownership records.
You'll love them if
- You want a coordinator who was a surrogate herself and understands the experience firsthand.
- You want a long-standing, all-female-owned agency rather than a newcomer.
- You want to lead the process, with your questions answered as they come up.
- You want to set the rules for how you and your intended parents communicate.
- You want an escrow advocate whose job is making sure you are paid fairly and on time.
Not right if
- You are optimizing for the highest compensation on offer.
- You would rather not hear from your coordinator often; they check in weekly.
- You do not have steady support at home. The agency screens for that.
Honest take: a few things to know
- They do not pay the highest compensation in our network. The first-timer total is $73,000 against $95,000 at Family Makers. The agency says it keeps rates lower to hold down costs for intended parents. That trade-off is real money out of your pocket, and you should price it deliberately.
- They expect surrogates to stay responsible and engaged, with regular check-ins throughout. If you want a hands-off process, that expectation will grate.
- They are not backed by private equity and do not run large ad budgets, so there is less about them online than about bigger agencies. Fewer marketing pages also means fewer independent sources to cross-check.
- Experienced-surrogate service scores 6 out of 20 in our set, the second lowest. The published experienced base of $68,000+ is the lowest of our four partners.

What Simple Surrogacy pays
Base is the guaranteed part, paid in installments once a pregnancy is confirmed. The total adds allowances, fees and bonuses that depend on how your journey goes. Those are contingent, not promised.
| Term | What the agency says |
|---|---|
| Out of pocket | Zero — all travel paid through the agency, all meals reimbursed |
| What base covers | Base pay is just your compensation — everything else is additional on top. |
| Payments start | 5 days after a positive pregnancy test. |
| Payments end | Last payment at delivery. |
| If there is a miscarriage | You don't repay anything. Compensation is pro-rated to the day of loss. |
| If no pregnancy results | Start-of-medication fees, transfer fees and all expenses are still paid. |
No published maximum
Simple Surrogacy does not publish a best-case number, and we are not going to invent one. Contingent items — multiples, a C-section, lost wages — are negotiated into your contract and can push a journey above the totals shown. Ask for the contingent schedule in writing, and plan around base.
The $73,000 first-timer total is the lowest of our four partners. Family Makers publishes $95,000 and Family Tree $80,000 and up. If pay is your first filter, that gap is worth naming out loud before you apply here. See all four side by side in our surrogate compensation guide.

What the reviews say
We counted 32 public reviews on Google and Surrogacy Advisor written by surrogates, read each one, and coded the themes below. "Verified" means we found the review on a public platform, read it, and confirmed the writer describes being a surrogate rather than an intended parent. It does not mean we interviewed them. How we verify reviews.
| Theme | Share of reviews mentioning it |
|---|---|
| Full journey support | 25% |
| Delivery experience described positively | 16% |
| Money handled well, including escrow | 16% |
| Match quality | 12% |
A number we are not publishing yet
Two of our internal tallies disagree on Simple Surrogacy's share of positive reviews. One says 100%, the other 97%. The difference is a single review out of 32. Until we have re-read the set and reconciled it, no page on this site shows a percent-positive figure for Simple Surrogacy. The 5.0 star average above is the platforms' own number and stands on its own.
The money theme is the unusual one. Surrogates rarely praise how an agency handles payments; here they name the escrow advocate by role. Want to read them yourself? Search Google for Simple Surrogacy reviews (opens in a new tab). Counts change as new reviews land.
“My time off was fully paid, and the agency advocated for me through escrow to make sure I was paid fairly and on time.”Draft, not a verbatim review. Nothing in our review set supports the occupation, city, or bedrest detail, and the one Jasmine on record is a testimonial on the agency's own site about coordinator availability. Needs a real sourced quote plus written consent before this can ship.
